ACS- Gold on a Budget 2 Day

In this two-day fabrication workshop, you will combine the rich color of gold with sterling to elevate your designs and add value. We will discuss the differences in working with and the challenges presented by gold-filled stock and how to avoid some of the pitfalls of working with gold-filled materials. Additionally, we will create a piece using solid gold accents to further diversify your skill set and allow for a variety of design options.

You will complete at least two projects - one ring and one pendant. Small gemstones suitable for the bezel wire we will use are included in the kit. If you choose to bring stones that you may want to use, smaller cabochons (10-12mm) with a lower rise are recommended as gold filled bezel has fewer options for bezel height than sterling.
